The Saint

Poor Simon Templar (Val Kilmer, Top Secret) was born an orphan and raised in a cruel catholic orphanage where he was named for a saint who took a vow of poverty, John Rossy. It was there that he fell in love with Agnes, and there that Agnes died as they attempted to escape from the orphanage.
Years later, Simon, always a bright lad, had become a super criminal, and techno wizard. His ultimate goal: to make 50 million dollars and retire to some island. He can’t quite seem to get there, as he passes off fake identity after fake identity, always named after Catholic Saints, always hounded by Interpol and Scotland Yard.
This time, Templar is in for more than he bargained for as he is commissioned by Russian businessman Tretiak to steel the formula for cold fusion from it’s eccentric and Beautiful discoverer, (Elizabeth Shue, Leaving Las Vegas). Unfortunately, he falls in love, and still steals it from her. Eventually, they both end up in Russia being hunted down by Tretiak and the entire Russian Army. It’s up to the saint to pull off a true miracle. And the ending is quite fun and cool. A 2, and a tribute to the Saint movies of old, featuring 007 Roger Moore…Moore’s voice is used at some point in the film, but I have no idea where.
